++Planned Activities

Friday evening - an informal gathering. The venue will be decided when we see how many people are coming. The suggestion has been made that we go to a local pub for a meal - probably the Wee Waif on the A4 at Charvil (marked on maps now as a motel). Gather at 7.30 for 8.00 pm. The menu is a fairly standard mix of chicken, steak, seafood dishes with veggy options for around \xA38 - \xA310 for the main course. (Their telephone number is 0118 9460066.)

Saturday lunchtime - picnic (bring your own) beside the Whiteknights lake behind the Students Union (in Childs Hall student\x92s common room if wet). Assemble from midday at Childs and we will wander down to the lake - leaving maps and directions for late comers.

Saturday afternoon - photos & memories in Child\x92s Hall common room + guided tours of Whiteknights Park. The university archivist will be there with relevant archives.

Saturday tea - a buffet meal between 6.00 \x96 7.00 p.m.

Saturday evening - Dance from 7.30 to 10.30 in Childs Hall dining room. Callers come prepared to call a dance or two. Musicians bring your instruments and join in a band. The band will be led by Maggie Fletcher and Chris Oxtoby.

Sunday - informal gatherings for as many as will.

+++Costs We estimate the cost of the evening meal & dance will work out at \xA310 per head for adults. We\x92ll sort out a children\x92s rate for buffet and dance \x96 probably around \xA36.50. We\x92ve yet to sort out whether it\x92s cash on the day or cheques in advance.
