Sidmouth Festival

One of the biggest folk festivals in the world. Held in the (normally) sleepy town of Sidmouth on the South Devon coast every August.

1968

The Playford Team performed there in 1968 with Peter Boyce as musician and Bill Rutter (the Festival Director) in costume as Beau Nash doing the introductions. We travelled there in the Commer Minibus

For many years, ex-RUUFDS people formed the core of the Treasurer's team under the leadership of Stuart Ball, making up floats and counting the returning money.
