At Strathclyde: that was a horrendous journey in freezing conditions. We got through OK but many of the other teams from England were severely delayed when their coaches broke down on Shap due to freezing fuel lines.

This was the first Intervarsity for the newly formed Whiteknights Morris. We danced The Lass of Richmond Hill in the style of Bledington - a dance composed by Mart. This dance he adapted to Longborough style for Hammersmith Morris. It has now gone into the Morris tradition and one version or another is danced by several sides.

This was the last dance team in the afternoon display session: we had an extremely long scarf and danced to the Dr Who theme tune!

IVFDF

The Inter Varsity Folk Dance Festival has been an important feature of the Spring term since 1951. This makes it the longest running festival in the UK!

IVFDF has its own very comprehensive website, so if you have any relevant pictures, programmes etc, do please send them a copy as well as uploading one here.

IVFDF was held at Reading in 1970, 1982, and 1987 so we would be particularly pleased to see pictures of those events.
